I am an award-winning bilingual filmmaker, director, and storyteller, driven by a passion for crafting emotionally resonant and technically precise films. I recently completed my Master’s in Film from Full Sail University, adding to my academic foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Filmmaking from The Los Angeles Film School. My work spans multiple genres, with a focus on film editing, cinematography, sound design, and screenwriting, each serving to deepen the immersive experience I aim to create for audiences.
My journey into film began under the mentorship of an acting coach and playwright, whose theatrical productions ignited my passion for storytelling and led me to pursue a career in this industry. Their guidance instilled in me a commitment to telling stories that challenge societal norms and create meaningful conversations. I strive to amplify underrepresented perspectives through my directorial vision, blending personal expression with narratives that encourage viewers to think, feel, and engage. This commitment has shaped my work into something that consistently captivates audiences with its emotional depth and thought-provoking themes.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to receive recognition at several prestigious film festivals, both nationally and internationally. My film Lucha was selected for screenings at the Culver City Film Festival®, The IndieFEST Film Awards, Best Shorts Competition, Universe Multicultural Film Festival, and the Accolade Global Film Competition, where it was praised for its technical and narrative strengths. Another project, Barrio of Mansions, earned awards from the Old Monk International Film Festival, Tagore International Film Festival, and The IndieFEST Film Awards and was selected at the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival. These recognitions have been immensely rewarding and motivate me to continue pushing creative boundaries.
My background as a photojournalist and videographer has shaped my visual approach and given me an eye for detail that I bring into every project. This experience has taught me to capture powerful imagery and weave scenes that connect on both emotional and intellectual levels. Whether I’m working on intimate character-driven stories or expansive visual narratives, I aim to blend artistry with discipline to leave a lasting impact.
